The Rome Sno-Bandits Snowmobile Club in cooperation with the Romemakers HCE sponsor the Christmas In Rome event annually on the first Saturday of December. This past year we had over 130 children attend our event. Our club decorates the northwest corner of Highway 13 and Alpine Drive in Rome along with providing the trees for local businesses and individuals to decorate. On the day of our event, we have hay rides through the Rome Town Center along with a chili challenge. We have caroling by candlelight while waiting for Santa to arrive. Santa arrives by fire truck and flips the switch with the help of the kids to light up the trees and decorations. Afterwards, the children enjoy hot chocolate and treats while visiting with Santa and his elf inside the Town Hall. Our club works hard to make this a fun event for our community.
